Washington State (Lopez Island and Sequim) offer beauty and wonderful, happy quilters-Flower Power!

Isn't this photo beautiful? This darling girl had a great stash and told me it was her first quilt class. Made me very happy it was my class because she was so nice and cute too. Stay tuned for photos of the quilters from Lopez island.
there is nothing mpore beautiful than a quilter with a smile. Carol is the president of Sunbonnet Quilter's of Sequim. They are an active group where everyone offers to help and they acknowledge their members (for 5 years of longer) who are 85 by calling them up and offering them free membership the rest of their lives. Isn't that lovely?

Oops-below is the block with the stem put on the wrong end but when turned up, it looked pretty good don't you think?

This lovely little quilt was made to give away to a child who needs comfort-can't you see how pleased some little child would be with this happy quilt? Quilter's give comfort all over the world and many children are blessed because of it.

Below, Peggy St.George made this darling quilt to give away. I met her years ago in Ruth McDowell's house and was drawn to her great sense of color and her lovely (nice) personality.

I walked around the class and snapped photos of people who were deep in concentration-these ladies ALL had lovely smiles when they looked up. :0) Even though it was chilly and rainy we made out own sunshine in Sequim below and Lopez too

Cows eat grass while we makes quilts- the scenery out the school house window in Lopez is lovely. If you haven't been to Washington State, think about planning a trip to see the beauty and inspiration.

I always notice how happy the girls are when they are in your class. I have heard some people who go to classes and the teacher scares them, lol. We all need to smile and enjoy the process.

Robin, PLEASE do not give out the bird pattern. This is a must for being in the swap. It is copyrighted and only for our chatroom girls as stated on the pattern itself.
Thanks so much,
Mary Lou

Love seeing all of those happy, smiling faces. But, how could anyone not smile in your classes! :~D
