YOU MISSED IT? MARY LOU'S RETREAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE!

I have a good number of photos but am missing some wonderful people and other photos that I hope people will send me. :0) We had such a wonderful time and what a blessing to have 19 of the nicest women from all over the US and Sandi from Canada come to Washington/Idaho to enjoy quilting, food and friendship. Honestly I could not have chosen 19 nicer people who were all creative, entertaining and ahead of the curve. We had some really wonderful and original work on the class and one original block made someone else do their own original work. It just was so much fun to see how people worked off of the positive energy in the room. We had a fabulous cook (Laruie Latta) that I will talk more about in another posting here and a number of helpers who made things go smooth. Everything was great and the hard work paid off in smiles and friendships that will last. I think the majority of the people will come back next year and we will continue the fun and the imagination work we all started and we hope you might join us too. I did not advertise this and only people who read my blog knew about it. :0) I hope you enjoy the photos and just get a little taste of the three day retreat. There will be a story quilt retreat in August. You can read a little bit about it on my website and you may sign up by contacting me at Lattegirl@aol.com.
I am tired but very happy to have had such a nice time with such nice people in my own backyard.

What fun! So many happy faces, great blocks and fun places you visited! Beautiful food and who is that bronzed gentleman who is getting so much attention? He looks very pleased with it all!

The gentleman that we are posing with is Louis B. Davenport who founded the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. We went there for lunch and enjoyed the beauty-it went through a $38 million dollar renovation a few years ago- it is quite something-Louis is little and could dance on Dancing with the Stars if he was alive....

If it wouldn't be such a negative thing, I'd be jealous and bright green with envy! ;-) LOL I'm so happy that you all had such a fun and fabulous retreat and hope that I'll be able to join you someday!
