Chocolate Trifle plus new blogs on my link list! Wonderful stuff to share

Chocolate Trifle-the perfect recipe for a holiday meal or a coffeee dessert day with girlfriends. When I got married, my Grandmother gave me that red and white Betty Crocker cookbook. I use it all of the time still. This recipe calls for a one oound chocolate cake-a cake mis isn't hearty enough inmy opinion. Make a homemade chocolate cake-it is just flour, chocolate, eggs etc. NO biggie.
Chocolate Trifle
1-1 pound chocolate cake (I just take a chocolate cake recipe from any good cookbook and do it from scratch-it is easy and worth the time!)
1 cup Kahlua
1-122 mounce bag of butter brickle
1 -6ounce package of chocolate pudding-prepare pudding
1 pint whipping cream (whip)
1-8 ounce package of slivered almonds
cherries (bottled marachino)
Break up half of the cake into the bottom of a glass bowl (I used a trifle bowl but any bowl is keen
Pour 1/2 of the kahlua over the cake flowly. Sprinkle 1/2 of the butter brickle over the cake. Now spread 1/2 of chocolate pudding on top and 1/2 of whipping cream. Now repeat the steips and top off with the almonds and the cherries. Stand back and enjy the compliments you get. It takes a little time but so well worth it. It is delicious. I bake the cake in the morning, sew or clean or do my nails or ....
then in the afternoon when the cake is cool, I make it for dinner. You can do this earlier for your luncheon with friends. Honestly it is a hit! Hope you try it.
