LOOK WHAT JULIE DID WITH MY NEW FABRICS! MY GOODNESS ISN'T THIS WONDERFUL?

I met Julie Sefton when I taught in North Carolina at the John C.Campbell folk school. She came in with crayons (fairy gifts) for everyone in class and she reached out to everyone in a fun and positive way. Then she started to sew plaid hoochy blocks and flower power blocks and my goodness she just blew me away. So is wonderful and so I asked her if she had time to do a sample for me out of my new fabrics for Benartex called "The Best of Mary Lou". I sent her a box and look at what she did! I think this line is perfect for fun quilts and it has such a nice variety of plaids (two styles), dots (two styles) and swirls.....on top of that ir includes my old print REDESIGNED and made better. It will be shown in Houston and delivered to shops in Jan/Feb. If you like this fabric please ask your local shop to carry it.

I am so happy Benartex is bringing back the quilters. They are so much fun and this fabric has funny sayings etc. I have the screen name of Lattegirl and that is also in the fabric. This is like me and my friends who have always quilted....
Julie Sefton is a real artist and I adore what she does ....fun and wonderful. Just like her.
I am just giddy when I see this fabric and how it is so bright and pretty and not overpowering but happy and everything anyone has made is just so very very happy. I cannot wait until it is on the market in shops in January. Please ask for "The Best of Mary Lou" line from Benartex at your local shop. I also hope to have some on my website but a shop can usually carry more than I can afford and besides I want people to support the shops that work for YOU in your area.

Stay tuned for what my other friends did with this fabric! And check out Julie's blog-she has one of the best blogs out there! http://www.quiltdivajulie.blogspot.com/

My goodness you comments bring such joy to me, honestly. Julie, I love your quilt and to those that buy my fabrics I have to say one big "thank you." It is such fun to sew with something you designed and saw on paper before it was fabric. I pray Benartex brings me back again for another line.... and Cherry Chick, you write in a very creative way!

I'm another quilter who still has pieces from your first line because it was "too good" to use. Now that I'm older and wiser (and I know more is coming) I'll be able to follow Julie's lead and make another fun quilt!

Me too! I have been unable to use my 6X6 inch square some very kind soul gave me of the quilting ladies. I was practically drooling over it and I think the lady just wanted to get rid of my coveting stares!!!!! I am SOO happy that fabric is coming back!!!! AND the quilt is uber fabulous!
