THE EASTER BUNNY LIVES IN SALZBURG,AUSTRIA

The man above made me smile because he looks like he is ready for Easter on the town. Remember getting a new dress and shoes and maybe a new purse for Easter? I always wanted pattern leather....so pretty and lace on a dress of any kind was a dream! Easter used to be such a big deal. Now some people dress up and others wear whatever and no one really shops for that special dress and Mom's don't wear hats like they used to. Maybe in the South they do. I miss the days where God's house had more respect with low voices and silence for those who wanted to pray etc. I guess I am like my Mom and My Grandma who always talked about the way things used to be.

I have shown these before but they are so fabulous it is good to show them again.
When I was in Austria I went out and shopped and went into shops up and down the streets as one does and I ran into this incredible Easter Egg shop that had thousands and thousands of Easter eggs all painted with acrylic paints...like bugs and frogs and lady bugs and flowers and candy and faces and well anything you could think of!

I bought one beautiful precious egg and wrapped it and put it in my suitcase while I visited other lovely places in Europe and when I got home guess what? My egg was in a million pieces. The memory is still there though and so are these photos. It was quite something!

Thank you for sharing those beautiful Easter eggs! What lovely memories of your trip to Austria!!!

I agree - Easter used to be so much more special when we were little. Mom used to make all my outfits and I still remember the coat and hat she made me out of light blue curly wool.

Some people come to Church as though they just left the gym - shorts, tee shirts and sneakers. We don't have to dress fancy, just respectfully.
