Things that make me smile and I am thankful for

So I am going to be teaching in New Mexico this week and this lady was wondering about the fabric to bring for a class I am teaching. I LOVED her letter because it had this pretty photo in it. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see people in their photos with their quilts and fabrics and projects. I had to show Beverly from New Mexico to you.

I love reading your blog and seeing all the beautiful photos. I was in New Mexico for the first time in my life two years ago and I want to go back. I was in Santa Fe and then up in Georgia O'Keefe's country, where I took a watercolor workshop with artist Jan Hart. I absolutely loved it there! I hope you have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to receive my copy of your new book. I am sure it is awesome even before seeing it! Happy travels! Maeve

Mary Lou, New Mexico is one of my favourite places in the USA!

I've travelled from Las Crueses to White Sands Monument and up the Rio Grande to Albequerque.

I travelled along some of the old trails and drove from Albequerque to Santa Fe via Corales and stopped in at Quilts Ole.

I envy your trip, have lots of fun and enjoy the colours of the desert. Don't miss the pueblo in Taos, it is beautiful.
