More of Maui, My Birthday Surprise, Island Sites and being Happy

So, I am posting photos of Maui because I didn't get photos taken of both Prescott and Phoenix like I had planned. Once I went to the hospital that was it and when I had some time after teaching in Prescott, I went to bed. Now I know why. :0)
But I did have loads of Maui photos where I was only the day before I went to Arizona so I thought I would show you more of what it was like.
My birthday was a few days before the Maui trip and really we didn't do anything here except I did have a nice meal alone with each of my children which was lovely.
Once we were in Maui, Mal and Tina made cupcakes and we had a celebration there. A surprise like this is seldom and so good for the heart. I went to bed that night so thankful for so many gifts that God has given me.

This darling little girl is named "Lucy Latte." Tina my friend knew I love lattes and that my screen name is Lattegirl. So she bought this for me for my birthday. She was a challenge to get home but now she sits on my mantel with other pink and red and mercury glass things. I love her!

This little bag is a bag in a bag for when I travel. Lightweight and polka dotted. Along with this darling bag was a pair of wonderful RED dice earrings that I haven't gotten a photo of yet but since they are so fun, you will be seeing them here on my ears.

Molly gavce me this heavy plastic glass and it was perfect timing. When I came home from being in the hospital, I kept it full of cold water and it was big enough that I didn't have to race back and forth to the sink. Inside the cup was a Starbucks card. This is really fun since it says Hawaii with a bird on it. :0)

Napkins from my birthday party. Lots of laughter and love. It is so nice to have nice friends.

Below is cute ideas for body positions from a restaurant sign.

We all know there are many body types. I took two photos of beautiful women. The one below is of a King's wife (one of many but his favorite). I thought this was lovely. Below her is a French style maniquin. Note the difference in almost everything. Including the weight of these lovely ladies.

I have seen these manuquins in two places-Hawaii and France. Isn't think funny? No where else. Both Oahua and maui have these in their shops.

I loved these beautiful plants that had builts in complementary colors! So beautiful.

No matter where I am, I am always drawn to these signs about trouble....must be my strict grade school teaching.

With all of the places in the island to eat, Maui Taco seemed to call us. We ate there about four or five times. Simple but good food. The best Pineapple Salsa in the world and someone said that if you google "aui Pineapple Salsa" the recipe comes up. Yum.

Love the polka dot bag, can't wait to see your red dice earrings.

Tell me about other good places you ate while in Maui, I'm planning a trip there soon.

So glad you are feeling better. Love your pictures of Hawaii! I remember seeing a poinsettia hedge all the way around someone's yard when I was there. 2' wide & 4' tall. The color was amazing. Continue to get well & wishing for "no snow" here too!
