So, I traveled with friends to Austria a couple of years ago and we visited a shop that was nothing but hollowed out eggs that had been decorated. I wanted to buy some but can you imagine packing it to get it home? So, I just took photos. There were enough eggs there to photograph for hours. I bet they got sick of making scrambled eggs and omelets, what do you think? And how much money could a person make from this kind of a store???

I know this is early to post this but I just ran into these photos and I didn't want to forget again before we are ready to make our own little eggs for the table. This is a fun activity and hey, with some simple acrylics paints, one could do lots of things....like setting up a shop. :0)

What fabulous eggs. I can imagine having to pack those, but maybe an egg crate and lots of packing bubbles would work.

These are wonderful! As quilters we sometimes get bored making the same block again and again for a quilt, so have to change it up a bit. Imagine the egg painter making the same egg over and over. But I love how they look all displayed together like that.
Wow,the eggs are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Where was this shop, I am going to Austria in 2 weeks? Your photos are great.
