EVERYONE LOVES A HAPPY STORY QUILT -SWINE LAKE!- AND RETREAT UPDATE

Many of you who have known me a long time know that I have a friend named Susan who is a flight attendant for Alaska air. She has two special quilts in my book and here is a quilt that she did a number of years ago. I think it is great fun and makes you smile for sure. Susan is very modest and always downplays her lovely work so if you like this please leave a comment for her.

I added the name and location of the hotel for the retreats on my website and I also added a link for the Coeur d'Alene hotel where we will have an optional meal after the retreat is over with. We are almost full I am happy to say.
I am putting on a correction to the page. I noticed that it said that for the extra day it is $69 and the way I worded it sounded like that included food and the hotel. It does not include food and the hotel or I would really be at a loss. I am having my web guy change this. Other wise things are the same cost the rest of the time and today I met with a lady who is going to silk screen my painting logo that I am doing on bags for this retreat. They are going to be cool! It gets more exciting as everything is coming together quite nicely.
Friday I am on my way to Atlanta and then John C.Campbell folk school. It is going to be fun while we work on Hoity Toity houses. I have some fun new tricks up my sleeve. Will have plenty of fun photos here when I get home.

Mary Lou,

What a wonderful quilt, the look of utter bliss on the pig's face is wonderful! Her position of balance and grace is also great!

Susan please take a bow for a wonderful performance in quilt making!

I'm a big fan of Susan Typpi and her quilts. Check out her Prom Dress quilt on p. 47 and her Matisse quilt on p 48 of Mary Lou's new Out of the Box Book. And, here's an oldie but one of my favorites -- Angels in Flight on p 45 of Mary Lou's EveryDay Angels book. What fun!
