So these are just some of the images for a HUGE quilt I am working on about New Mexico. Boy, there are so many many things that one can put on a New Mexico quilt. I have decided I need many quilts in a series instead of one. But I do love the color, the idea of the people and all of the mixes of tastes, ideas and things that make up this wonderful State. This quilt has encouraged me to do many more States and hopefully, I will do them as I travel for fresh ideas and fun!

I am so happy to know how much you like and appreciate New Mexico, particularly Santa Fe.
I have never been to New Mexico (not in the US at all really), but I sure want to go now:-) I love the colours, and your work is so cheerful - as always!
Happy New Year to you, Mary Lou!
I love the colors in this one and with all the wonderful things you saw in New Mexico, it makes it a fun quilt to make. Great fabric choices too, gives it the painted look for the art feel you saw on your travels.

How cute. Can't wait to see the finished product. Love the Joe and cup of coffee!
Oh, Mary Lou, you have definitely fallen in love with New Mexico! I did too - if I didn't have family right here where I live, I would head out there to live for good. I can't wait to see the quilt finished, but I certainly can see all the colorful influence of NM within the photos. Love your new book too! It is "happy" like you!Happy New Year!
LOVE that quilt and I'd love to help you find fun things to add to your North Carolina quilt!
Happy New Year, Y'all! :~D

Thanks for all the fun, color, inspiration, sharing, and the opening of your heart to all of us friends and fans. Tuning into your blog each day is like opening a candy box--you don't know what will be waiting, but it will be yummy and fun! God Bless.
