These are the brave and "Out of the Box" women who were willing to wear a tiara, a clown nose and wax lips for this photo. They deserved an award. As you can see a few women had trouble keeping their noses, broken tiaras and lips on (Deb and Sylvia).
Once you put on your nose you had to breath out of your mouth and once your wax lips were in, you couldn't breath out of your mouth....we lost three women with this photo alone.

Here is the full moon behind the trees. The beauty at Asilomar is some of the best you will ever see. It does something wonderful to your heart and your soul.

I wish you could see this in person. The ocean, the soft breeze, the flowers, the color and quiet and oh, the animals...it is a perfect place to take quilting classes and stretch your art and soul

Here Sue Cresse decided to make flowers to add to her Mother Nature fairy...I liked the composition so far.

On the way to something one day, I saw this teeny old gas station. It would make a cool sewing room. I walked up to get a photo and on the door was the sign below.

I am sure some man owns this....some California guy who surfs...what do you think?

Here is Gayle's bakery. This is a must visit for anyone traveling in Southern California. It has the best food food and it has a huge array of pastries, granolas, nut mixes, great coffee and fabulous food all over. It is a destination place for sure.

The first thing you want to do is go and look at all of the fabulous foods which change daily. Then you want to take a number.

Gayle's has alot of original art on the walls that makes the visit even more special.

Here are simple curtains on one of the windows. I always want to go home and change my window treatments after being here.

These curtains are also simple but a little more involved than the other ones.

Each set of curtains is different in color and pattern

Gayle's also has outside seating that is lovely but I like the tables that are all broken plates and mosaic inside.

So, here is what Molly ordered-Enchiladas and the best coleslaw you will ever eat!

I ordered polenta casserole and the best coleslaw yo will ever eat. We both laughed and did people watching and enjoyed the weather, a shop called Wisteria (one of my favorites).

The patchway I walked to night time meetings

This little bird wanted it's photo-he kept coming closer to me

The sound of the ocean along with the beauty just fills your chest and your senses-it is hard not to break into song and I do sing a little song here and there as I walk-usually about God's hand in all of this and His goodness

So, here is a littl break in the nature part of this blog. Just who did the Grandma quilt, also made hoochy blocks and added cars and fun stuff....she is clever that way.

Gayles is in a town that starts with C. It is either Capatola or Carpenteria. Please comment to help me out. I spelled the first one wrong. The food was fabulous.
I a getting more photos from Deb Lancaster so stay tuned for more color and fun.
