This is a photo above of the three couples who cruised together and the darling men who took care of our table each night at dinner. The man in the red jacket named Al was a fun person.Mark is standing next to him, then Mud (his nickname) and Budi (his nickname), me,Esko,Kit,Laurie and Susan.
Here we are getting off the ship to explore. It is windy and my blouse stuck like glue...I was really uncomfortable that day....my jeans were too long and it was humid and sticky-but with all of that it was fun and the colors of the places we visited (Aruba, Panama, CostRica) were amazing.
Fruit for sale and wouldn't this make a great idea for a quilt?
Mark and I met this darling fellow going back to our ship....he was really quite sweet
This is what you see when you first hit the streets of Aruba....it is quite colorful and also for tourists.
Talk about a hot day! But the sites made me forget this for a short while. I didn't buy anything in Aruba, I just looked. I had trouble getting over the thoughts of Natalie Holloway and what ever happened to her. I said a prayer here for her Mother and family.
I had just made friends with the iguana and Mark took this photo. Don't you love this cherry purse? A gift from a special friend. It is always nice and comforting to take something cherry with me on the road...I think cherries are my security blanket. No cherries found on our trip.
I took this photo just so you could see the lovely color of the water. I have never seen so many wonderful colors of blue before. It would be the perfect place to do a blue quilt!
Just a view from the bridge of the ship-no pine trees or snow here. :0)
This was the sign for the intro party the very first day where Fay and Mike introduce the teachers and tell you about all of the exciting things they have planned...and they got an A+ for all of the lovely surprises and fun we enjoyed. Quiltcruises.com
Look at the change in color...isn't this wonderful?
Here are Susan and I at the cocktail party for the quilt cruisers. I am giddy I am so excited about what adventures we will have. My dream is that one day I can do a Mediterranean cruise or at least get to visit Spain, Italy and Greece one day. Time will tell.
Tomorrow I will introduce the wonderful quilters and some of the fun we had....wonderful people...wonderful fun....wonderful memories
